Division 1 Registered Nurse

  • This skilled Professional has completed a three-year university course followed by a one-year post basic course.
  • These Professionals then proceed to Post Graduate training in specialist areas. Many who are interested in Occupational Health and Safety will then complete a 2-year Post Graduate course; others complete Graduate courses in Accident & Emergency or Critical Care.

Division 2 Registered Nurse

  • This Professional has completed a 12-month nursing course and will require a Level 3 First Aid Certificate to work within an Occupational Health setting.
  • Division 2 nurses can also attend further training in Occupational Health and increase their skills in this area.

Level 3 First Aid Personnel

  • These First Aid personnel have a keen interest in First Aid and must obtain a Level 3 First Aid Certificate to manage a First Aid Centre. They are usually voluntary First Aid officers, or have other skilled paramedic backgrounds.
